GB 201–Surviving an Economic Meltdown
(Plan A $ 26, Plan B $ 125)
How can I survive the current financial crisis in our nation? People are getting laid off, many are losing their homes, investments have gone up in smoke. Does the Bible have anything to say about this? This course is for anyone entangled (or about to be) in an economic meltdown. Know this; priceless treasure is within your reach. And with it, liberating joy. Discover a joy more precious than gold. Learn practical and spiritual strategies for you and your friends. Jesus has given us the treasure principle. Unearth it.

“The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1).

Randy Alcorn has unearthed six treasure principles from God’s Word. Treasure Principle #1 affirms, “God owns everything, I’m His money manager.” Most people have no issue with the first part of this treasure principle but likely ignore the second part. A money manager, or steward, is tasked with finding out how the money owner wants his money managed — then doing it.

The Owner gives each of us our full monthly allotment of finances and expects us to set our own salaries putting the rest to work in His Kingdom. Patriot regularly receives requests for Bible courses and Bibles from our international schools. We fill more of them than thought possible by devoting a portion of every dollar given to Patriot even in advance of receipt. Your tuition is being put to work just as the Owner has entrusted.

Giving isn’t a luxury of the rich, it is a privilege of the poor. The Macedonian Christians understood the joy of giving, “How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality” (2 Cor 8:2). These “financially challenged” Christians even pleaded for the privilege in serving the saints in this way!

May we all be humbled by their act of faith.
