What is unique about the Gospel of Luke from the others? What makes it worthy of an exhaustive study? Dr. Luke's purpose of writing was to present a literary and historical account. Luke stressed that Jesus was the perfect Man. Luke wrote to his countrymen, to the Greek mind, and to the intellectual community. This might make his gospel highly poignant with today's culture which reveres their intellect and education above the gospel. This course uses teaching by J. Vernon McGee and the King James study Bible provided by Patriot. The student will come to see Luke's presentation of Jesus as the perfect, divine Son of God as our great High Priest, touched with the feeling of our infirmities, able to extend help, mercy, and love to us.
