Our School of Pastoral Studies offers you an education as Associate of Pastoral Studies, Bachelor of Pastoral Studies, Master of Pastoral Studies, and Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Studies.
Who is our Pastoral Studies major designed for?
- Anyone with a shepherd’s heart desiring to serve a church, ministry, or small group,
- Anyone desiring to serve the church as an elder or deacon.
What Will A Pastoral Studies Graduate Be Equipped To Do?
- Will know how to prepare and preach a sermon,
- Will know how to teach the Bible,
- Will have basic skills in pastoral and church administration,
- Will know basic Biblical counseling,
- Will know the attributes, attitudes, and actions of a maturing Christian,
- Will know how to marry, bury, and baptize.
Associate of Pastoral Studies – 2 Year Degree
Students are required to complete the minimum number of courses indicated in each category listed in their program. Each Associate degree program requires a total of 32 courses (64 credits).
Bachelor of Pastoral Studies – 4 Year Degree
Students are required to complete the minimum number of courses indicated in each category listed in their program. Each Bachelor program requires a total of 64 courses (128 credits).
Master of Pastoral Studies – 2 Year Degree
Students must complete the minimum number of courses indicated in each category. Each Master degree program requires ten courses (30 credits), plus a Thesis (6 credits) for a total of 36 credits. (All graduate courses offer three credits.)
Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Studies – 3 year degree
Students must complete the minimum number of courses indicated in each category. Each Doctoral degree program requires twelve courses (36 credits), plus a Dissertation (9 credits) for a total of 45 credits. (All graduate courses offer three credits.)
