Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary was born in 1999 out of the Brong-Ahafo Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship. (Brong-Ahafo is the State we live in.) We Started with just 4 students and have had as many as 15 students at a time. The school is managed and operated under the authority of the Calvary Baptist Church in Techiman but it’s board of director are the pastors in are State that belong to the pastor’s fellowship. We all teach from our heart and receive not pay from the school. The students that attend the school must be sent on full scholarship from their sending church. The school is a four year modular based school that requires the students to be on campus for one full week out of every month. We teach ten, 2 and 3 hour classes every year and require the students to have grade Christian serve assignment in their local churches were they serve.

We have had 20 graduates over the past 10 year that are serving in: Ghana, Liberia, and Burkina Faso. Two of our graduates have traveled to the USA and attended the Patriot graduation in 2007. CBIS is being directed by an African pastor, Pastor Samuel Appiah, a graduate of Patriot University. As an American missions and Pastor of the host church my role in the school is that of Pastor. I oversee the school, teach in the school, lead in matters of discipline, help with ordering of material, and planning the yearly course schedule. Day to day activities of the school are cared for by the local pastors.
